  7. AKCC V4.1 is a compilation of many useful CLI/Shell commands, which
  8. have been written during 1989-96.
  9.  
  10. They've been designed to make life much more easier for Programmers
  11. and advanced CLI/Shell Users.
  12.  
  13. The commands use their own "akccplus.library" to save space and
  14. of course they are all able to be made resident.
  15.  
  16. Here's an excerpt of the list of the - currently 35 commands :
  17.  
  18.   - ExecLibs          For loading, flushing and "version-patching"
  19.                       shared Libraries (WildCards allowed)
  20.                       E.g. used in superview.library development
  21.   - ExecTasks         For listing task/process information.
  22.   - KillTask          For breaking or removing tasks (WildCards).
  23.   - HunkShow          For exmination of program's Hunks and for
  24.                       file identification (recognizes some types).
  25.   - KAssign           As a replacement for the OS's Assign.
  26.   - FullPath          For replacing the current Path-List with one
  27.                       from an ASCII file.
  28.   - and many more

  30. This is version 4.1, which needs at least OS V1.2 (V33)
  31. and at least runs with all OS version upto OS V3.1 (V40).

  42.       - english guide file did contain a binary character a first entry,
  43.         which prevented it from being viewed as a guide file

  45.       - this documentation had to be reworked (e.g. merged with Tips.doc)

  47.       - removed AKCC_Shell
  48.       - completely reworked library and programmers stuff
  49.       - renamed library to akccplus.library
  50.         (you simply need to recompile your programs, nothing more)
  51.       - all commands no longer display texts in different colors,
  52.         which makes texts better readable under several configurations
  53.         (-> Neil Sedger)
  54.       - strongly improved CheckExec
  55.           - now supports Richard Koerber's identify.library  for
  56.             hardware and expansion board diagnostics (may be disabled)
  57.           - now also checks for gfx and dma chipset (only when
  58.             identify.library disabled or not present)
  59.       - fixed ExecRes, removed Enforcer Hits
  60.         (there's still one hit when examing keymap.resource, but
  61.          I don't know why and where and did not want to build
  62.          an extra-case for that structure)
  63.       - fixed ExecSems (only use-count shown now)
  64.       - in most commands, buggy command line parsing did cause Enforcer
  65.         Hits, either only under certain circumstances (calling without
  66.         parameters, no "?" given) or always (checked for parameter
  67.         contents, which were not there). Old, buggy stuff, so has
  68.         been rewritten.
  69.       - also fixed Enforcer Hits in AboutCLI
  70.       - removed PrefSet from distribution. It was a black hole
  71.         of Enforcer Hits - unresolveable, maybe because OS 3.x
  72.         no longer supports this prefs stuff that well and
  73.         thus it is not possible to debug an OS 1.2 version...
  74.       - removed name-change option of WinAct
